Behind the Lens

As a documentary photographer, I understand plans change, access can be limited, and conditions are rarely perfect. This is why my work is grounded in the experience itself, allowing conditions, not intervention, to shape the final image. 

 

I prioritize clarity and continuity, looking for the details that provide context and the moments that give a story its character, while taking care not to alter what is unfolding in front of me. 

 

Documentary work also requires knowing when a moment should be captured or simply observed. I work with that distinction in mind, particularly in situations where timing, context, and sensitivity determine what is appropriate to photograph.

My background has taught me to enter unfamiliar environments with curiosity and adapt quickly, while remaining attentive to the needs of my client and the purpose of the images I am producing.
